Our experience in the sugar processing enables us to satisfy all requests in this field, and so we are able to supply all the filtration stations in the production cycle.
Tessitura Fratelli Fontana co-operates with sugar companies for the development of new articles, in order to limit the operating costs of the filtration plants and improve the “juice” quality.
Our cloths can therefore meet the different requirements of temperature and acid washing.
We use polypropylene and polyamide fibres – in staple, multifilament and monofilament yarns - also mixed together.

Monofilament yarn gives a very strong and dimensionally stable fabric and a better filter cake discharge. Staple yarn makes filtration cleaner.
Multifilament or mixed yarns are more used because they make the most of mechanical resistance and filtrating capacity of each different yarn.
